Frequently Asked Questions

Eligible patients (typically those at higher risk for severe COVID) may be prescribed Paxlovid by a physician after virtual assessment. Treatment must start within 5 days of symptom onset to be effective.

For Paxlovid prescription, yes, a positive PCR or rapid antigen test is required. We can guide you on at-home testing or arrange testing at a Summit Health clinic.

Yes. After assessment, our clinicians can provide a sick note that you can share with your employer or school.

We assess for flu, COVID and other respiratory infections together since symptoms overlap. We may recommend a rapid combo test or empirical treatment based on your situation.
